Mobile phones are very popular and make an excellent Christmas gifts as most kids love to upgrade to a newer phone that has cooler features and there are some very cheap deals available online for Pay As You Go and Prepay mobile phones.

The key to getting a cheap deal on a mobile phone is to not go for the very latest phones but for the ones that have been around for a little while and so not too outdated but much cheaper as the prices always come down rather quickly as the manufacturers release so many new mobile phones. Also check how good the camera is if this is going to be used allot (which it almost certainly will, especially if you are buying for a child) as some are much better than others. The megapixel rating is important here as this states how good the camera is with the higher numbers being better, it won't make much difference when you view the photos on the small phone screen but when you transfer them to a computer or print them then you can really tell if the camera is not very good.
